Malcolm Wellmaker has the MMA world watching him proper now.
The undefeated bantamweight stored his excellent document intact in spectacular style, with a one-punch knockout of Kris Moutinho at UFC Atlanta on Saturday. Wellmaker has now gained each of his UFC appearances by way of devastating—and classy—KOs.
Simply three years into his professional MMA profession, Wellmaker has already notched 10 victories with six of these wins coming by the use of knockout and two by submission. The 31-year-old scored a walk-off KO over Cameron Saaiman in his octagon debut this previous April. To say his future seems shiny could be an understatement.
The professionals agree as they had been unanimous of their reward for the Georgia native, with Terrance McKinney saying he’s prepared for a battle with former bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley, and longtime UFC standouts Henry Cejudo and Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson anointing him as a star.
