Purple Bull Racing requested FIA race director Rui Marques to look out for any gamesmanship from drivers in direction of Max Verstappen previous to the Canadian Grand Prix.
Verstappen went into the race only one penalty level away from an automated suspension, following his collision with George Russell in Spain.
