Jordan Newman mounted an unimaginable comeback within the PFL World Match 8 principal card opener, forcing Eslam Abdelbaset to give up on his stool following the primary spherical.
Abdelbaset practically made it an early evening, catching Newman with a crushing proper hand that despatched his opponent crashing to the canvas within the opening spherical. Smelling blood within the water, Abdelbaset mounted Newman’s again and rained down strikes.
It seemed as if Abdelbaset was moments away from the end. Nevertheless, Newman survived the onslaught and managed to battle his means out of the place, climbing again to his ft, the place he was met by a gassed-out Abdelbaset. Seeking to swing the momentum again in his favor, Newman launched an all-out assault, catching Abdelbaset with a perfectly-placed knee close to the fence that appeared to have damaged the Egyptian’s orbital bone.
Abdelbaset desperately tried to flee from the battle, narrowly making it out of the spherical after being dropped. Between rounds, Abdelbaset’s eye was checked, and though it appeared that he was cleared to proceed, he confirmed no real interest in getting off his stool.
That prompted referee Keith Peterson to name off the battle, awarding Newman the victory by way of technical knockout.
