Eire captain Caelan Doris is ready to be sidelined for as much as six months after present process shoulder surgical procedure, membership facet Leinster stated on Monday.
The 27-year-old sustained the damage in Leinster’s European Rugby Champions Cup semifinal loss to Northampton Saints earlier this month.
Doris, who had been vying with Maro Itoje for the British & Irish Lions captaincy, was overlooked of Andy Farrell’s 38-man squad to tour Australia.
“Caelan Doris had a process on Friday final week for a shoulder damage which is able to maintain him out of motion for between 4 to 6 months,” Leinster stated in an announcement.
Doris will miss Eire’s exams towards Georgia and Portugal in July and is uncertain for his or her November video games towards New Zealand, Japan, Australia and South Africa.
