Fiji rugby player fired by club after biting teammate

Fiji Olympian Masivesi Dakuwaqa has provided apologies to his Biarritz teammate Pierre Pagès after viciously biting his cheek throughout an alcohol-fuelled evening out, an incident that has led to the rugby membership terminating his contract.

In an interview with L’Equipe newspaper on Tuesday, 2016 Fiji Olympic sevens gold medallist Dakuwaqa stated he cannot perceive why he attacked Pagès when the scrum-half tried to calm him down after a staff social gathering final month at a neighborhood restaurant in southern France.

Dakuwaqa grew to become indignant and aggressive after a number of teammates suggested him to not drive residence. The Fijian participant reportedly smashed a automobile window, prompting Pagès to return over to speak to him.
