Arsenal are enthusiastic about signing Ollie Watkins from Premier League rivals Aston Villa within the January switch window, based on talkSPORT. The report has claimed that the Gunners have approached the Villans a few potential deal for Watkins.

Villa, although, have rejected Arsenal’s preliminary enquiry for Watkins, however the North London outfit nonetheless preserve a robust curiosity within the England worldwide. The Gunners, who’ve been linked with Bayern Munich ahead Mathys Tel, are able to make an improved bid for the striker and can be prepared to pay £60 million for him. TalkSPORT has added that Watkins himself can be open to a transfer to Arsenal within the January switch window, with the striker being a boyhood Gunners fan.

Watkins has been on the books of Villa since 2020 when he joined Brentford. The 29-year-old has established himself as one of many best strikers within the Premier League. Watkins has scored 80 objectives and given 34 assists in 200 appearances for Villa thus far in his profession.
