Ex-England star Danny Care to play 20th season at Harlequins

Former England scrum-half Danny Care has confirmed he will not retire from rugby this season and can play a twentieth marketing campaign at membership facet Harlequins.

Care, 38, joined the London facet in 2006 and has gone on to make a membership report 386 appearances, successful two Premiership Rugby titles in 2012 and 2021.

“I will likely be at Harlequins subsequent season, I ain’t leaving. I like it an excessive amount of, I am unable to give it up but,” Care informed BBC’s Rugby Union Weekly podcast.

“Hopefully just a few Quins followers will likely be proud of that. That sport [34-34 draw against Leicester in December] most likely jogged my memory once more simply how fortunate I’m, lucky, to nonetheless play this sport we love and to nonetheless play for the membership that I really like.

“I am not going to present it up whereas I take pleasure in it.”

Care retired from worldwide rugby in March 2024 after a 16 12 months England profession. Earlier that month, he grew to become the sixth England participant to win 100 caps of their Six Nations win over Eire at Twickenham.
