The 2024 season didn’t go as deliberate for the Miami Dolphins. In 2023, the staff completed 11-6 and made the playoffs. Regardless of a loss within the wildcard spherical to the Chiefs, the Dolphins felt assured about their staff heading into 2024. An early concussion in 2024 pressured beginning QB Tua Tagovailoa to go on the IR.
With that, the Dolphins began the season 2-6 and fell wanting making the playoffs. After a 32-20 loss to the Jets in Week 18, Miami completed the season 8-9. It’s the primary time since 2019 that the staff didn’t end with a profitable document. Talking to the media after Sunday’s loss, Tyreek Hill had some fascinating feedback. After the 2021 season, the Chiefs traded WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins. In return, the Chiefs acquired a first-round decide, a second-round decide, two fourth-round picks, and one sixth-rounder. Upon buying Hill, the staff signed him to a $120 million deal that reset the WR market on the time. Hill had 119 catches for 1,710 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2022. Regardless of Hill’s success in his first two seasons, the staff was not making a run within the playoffs. One thing he was accustomed to in Kansas Metropolis. With accidents to the staff in 2024, the Dolphins took a slight step again. Hill completed with underneath 1,000 receiving yards for the primary time since 2019. Moreover, his six receiving touchdowns are tied for the bottom of his profession since his rookie season. After the Dolphins’ Week 18 loss, Hill was sad speaking to the media. The All-Professional mentioned he desires “out” of Miami. We’ll see what the staff can do that offseason to make their star WR completely satisfied. Hill is Miami’s greatest offensive participant and so they’re a distinct staff with out him.
