Purple Bull protest towards George Russell’s victory on the F1 Canadian Grand Prix has been rejected.

Purple Bull had lodged a protest after the race in Canada.

Whereas no particular incident had been talked about by the FIA, it referred to Russell’s driving beneath the Security Automotive, which drew complaints from Max Verstappen.

Sunday’s race ended behind the Security Automotive after a late coming collectively involving the McLaren drivers, which overshadowed one other incident between the leaders.

As the sphere shaped up behind the Security Automotive on Lap 68, Russell momentarily slowed, inflicting Verstappen to briefly go his rival, earlier than falling again into the proper place.

Russell’s actions caught the eye of Verstappen, who’s on the verge of a race ban after accumulating penalty factors on his licence following a controversial tangle with the Mercedes driver final day out in Spain.

“George all of a sudden simply aggressively braked”, Verstappen was heard complaining over workforce radio.

In the meantime, Russell reported: “Verstappen simply overtook me beneath the protection automobile.”

In his post-race media session, Christian Horner defined that they have been sad with how far again Russell was behind the Security Automotive and the way erratic he was driving.

Russell has been cleared and can maintain his Canadian GP win.
