David Munoz has been hit with a brand new punishment after the Moto3 race in Thailand.
Munoz had already been given an extended lap penalty throughout the Buriram race.
However, afterwards, he has been slapped with a contemporary punishment to be served on the subsequent spherical in Argentina on March 16.
Munoz and Luca Lunetta engaged in a spiky battle on the season-opener. Lunetta rejoined after falling into the gravel early on.
Munoz, who was trailing, turned reckless and was given an extended lap penalty. He crashed out, tapping his head as he trudged again to his storage to suggest he had misplaced focus.
“You have been discovered to be driving in an irresponsible method inflicting a contact, involving rider #58,” the stewards dominated after the race about Munoz.
“The state of affairs was exaggerated with the maneuver executed while the part of circuit was below yellow led/flag circumstances.”
The stewards added: “After notification of [the long lap] penalty you crashed at Flip 3, with out serving it.
“The FIM MotoGP Stewards panel additional reviewed the incident after the race and thought of the exceptionally excessive danger to marshals who have been positioned in peril following the contact, which brought about #58 to run deep into the run off space.
“Given the exaggerated danger brought about, the FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel additional impose a Pit Lane Begin Penalty, to be served by the rider (#64) within the subsequent Grand Prix race.”
Jose Antonio Rueda ultimately received the primary Moto3 race of 2025, after Munoz crashed out. Lunetta was tenth.
